A slotted spring pin is a headless hollow cylindrical tube having a longitudinal slot down the entire length with chamfered or round ends to aid installation.
The features of slotted spring pins are as follows. First, these pins are used to connect two or more construction elements to each other. Second, they are highly suitable to absorb shear forces.
